We'd like to introduce you to Becca, our new Lead Universal Banker in our Davenport Branch. We asked her a few questions so we could all get to know her better:
AB&T: What would you like our clients and employees to know about you?
Becca: I’m a dedicated cat mom and am definitely a people person. I love to go fishing, hiking, or just be outdoors. My customers are my #1 priority while at work and they are the reason why I love doing what I do as my job is very fulfilling to me.
AB&T: How long have you been employed with American Bank and Trust?
Becca: I started with this great company about mid-March! Best decision I’ve made!
AB&T: What gets you out of bed every morning?
Becca: One, my cats that need fed, and two, my co-workers! The people I work with are like my second family already and can always make me laugh and smile. It’s such a great feeling in the morning knowing I’m headed into such a positive atmosphere for the day.
AB&T: What makes American Bank and Trust different from other places you’ve worked?
Becca: They are always accommodating for our needs and interests; even on my first day they were asking for my opinions and views on certain subjects and have taken many of my ideas into consideration. It’s very reassuring knowing I have such an open-minded leadership team.
AB&T: Any favorite line from a movie or book?
Becca: Not a movie or book but one of my favorite quotes is from Warren Buffett: “In the business world, the rearview mirror is always clearer than the windshield.”
AB&T: Banking has changed since COVID-19. How do you continue to connect with clients and how has ABT&T supported you in these efforts?
Becca: Great question! We still offer our full range of services just through the safety of our drive up. If we do meet with a customer face to face, we have been provided fabric face masks to ensure the safety of our customers as well as ourselves. We always try to take an extra moment to check in with our customers through the drive through to see how they are handling the isolation. AB&T has dropped our hours to limit exposure while paying us our full time pay. This makes us feel valued in such a difficult time.
AB&T: What’s one thing most people would be surprised to know about you?
Becca: I love to go mushroom hunting and I usually find the most out of anybody in my party!
AB&T: In this changing environment, what is one piece of advice you would give your clients?
Becca: Keep your head up and spread positivity to counteract all the bad news.
American Bank and Trust has arranged for all workers from Genesis Health Systems and UnityPoint Health Trinity to receive $10 off their order at local Hungry Hobo locations. We also purchased 80 gift cards to various local small businesses to be distributed to the front line workers.
